IRCTC website down, railways started additional reservation counters for the convenience of passengers


IRCTC Down: IRCTC website and app for booking railway tickets are not working. In such a situation, keeping in mind the convenience of railway passengers booking tickets, Railways has started the facility of starting additional railway counters. Indian Railways has started ticket counters at different stations.

Indian Railways informed that keeping in view the facilities of railway passengers, additional PRS (Passenger Reservation System) ticket booking counters have been started at railway stations. Passengers have been asked to book tickets through these ticket counters. Railway has opened 2 additional ticket counters in New Delhi PRS office. Apart from this, one ticket counter has been opened at Shahdara, one at Okhla station, one at Nizamuddin station and one at Sarojini Nagar. Apart from this, one additional ticket counter has been opened at Sabzi Mandi, one at Delhi Junction, one at Kirti Nagar and one at Azadpur. Rest of the PRS ticket counters are functioning normally. According to the Railways, the situation is currently being reviewed and more ticket reservation counters can be opened if needed.

IRCTC has said on the problems faced in booking tickets through website and app that due to technical reasons, ticket booking service is not available on website and app. The technical team of CRIS is looking into the matter. IRCTC said that railway tickets can be booked by visiting Amazon and Makemytrip website.

IRCTC said that after removing the technical problems, it will notify immediately.
