IPL Auction: 405 players shortlisted, 991 players registered for auction

IPL 2023 Player Auction: There is less than two weeks left in the auction for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). A total of 991 players had registered for the auction, but less than half of the players have found a place in the final list. A total of 405 players have been shortlisted for the auction and out of these a total of 87 players are going to be sold.

132 foreign players have been shortlisted

Initially all the teams had shortlisted 369 players, but later 36 players were further shortlisted on their request. Out of 405, 273 players will be Indian and 132 foreign. Among the foreigners, four players are from the associate country. A total of 119 capped and 282 uncapped players have been shortlisted. A total of 87 players are to be bought in which 30 players will be foreigners. 19 foreign players have decided to keep their base price at a maximum of two crore rupees. 11 players have kept themselves in the base price of Rs 1.5 crore.

Sunrisers have the most players to buy

Kolkata Knight Riders have to buy 11 players and they have the lowest amount of Rs 7.05 crore left. Sunrisers Hyderabad has the maximum amount of 42.25 crores and they also have to buy the maximum number of 13 players. Sunrisers and Rajasthan Royals have to buy maximum four foreign players each. Lucknow Supergiants have 23.35 crores and Mumbai Indians have 20.55 crores left. Punjab Kings have the second highest amount of Rs 32.2 crore and they have to buy a total of nine players.
