For this, the company is going to make a huge investment of $ 967.91 million i.e. about Rs 8000 crore (Foxconn India Investment). The state government has approved this investment of Foxconn.

The government says that this Foxconn plant (Foxconn Karnataka Plant) will create 50 thousand employment opportunities. Foxconn is the world’s largest contract manufacturer of electronics products. The Taiwanese company has been in talks with the Karnataka government for a possible plant for a long time. However, the company has not yet made any official announcement regarding the investment from its side.
The new plant will be so big
Earlier it was told in the news that Foxconn is going to set up a 300-acre plant (Foxconn Bengaluru Plant) near Bengaluru Airport in the state of Karnataka. This plant will be set up by Hon Hai Precision Industry Company, the flagship unit of Foxconn. This subsidiary of Foxconn manufactures the iPhone for Apple.
These products will be made in the plant
According to reports, Hone High Precision Industry Company will mainly manufacture Apple’s iPhone in the Karnataka-based plant. Apart from this, Foxconn can also use this plant to make its electric vehicle. If you follow the second news of Reuters, a week old, then Airpods can also be made in the proposed plant. Foxconn has recently received an order from Apple to manufacture these wireless earphones.
Apple has decided this plan
Taiwanese company Foxconn currently manufactures iPhones for Apple at a plant located in Zhengzhou city of China. Apart from this, manufacturing of iPhone has also started in India. Production at the Zhengzhou plant has been affected due to the disruption caused by COVID-19. Due to increasing tension between America and China, companies are shifting their production from China. For these reasons, Foxconn is looking at other options instead of China. At the same time, Apple has decided to shift 50 percent of its iPhone manufacturing to India by the year 2027.
