Infosys declares quarterly results, announces Rs 17.50/share dividend to investors

Infosys Q4 Results: After TCS (Tata Consultancy Services), the country’s second largest IT company Infosys has also announced the results of the fourth quarter of the financial year 2022-23. Infosys’ profit in the fourth quarter has been Rs 6128 crore with a jump of 7.8 per cent. Earlier in the December quarter, the company had a profit of Rs 6586 crore. The profit has decreased in the fourth quarter as compared to the third quarter.

Infosys’ revenue in the fourth quarter was Rs 37,441 crore with a jump of 16 per cent. While the revenue was Rs 32,276 crore in the same quarter a year ago, the revenue in the third quarter of 2022-23 was Rs 38,318 crore.

Infosys has also issued guidance for 2023-24, according to which sales will see only 4 to 7 jump in currency terms in this financial year. At the same time, the operating margin is estimated to be in the range of 20 to 22 percent. Due to the global economic crisis, the company has reduced the guidance. Due to this, the company’s revenue growth in 2022-23 has been less than the guidance target, although the company has been successful in meeting the operating margin target. Infosys has announced a final dividend of Rs 17.50 for its investors for 2022-23. With this, the company has given a dividend of Rs 34 per share in the financial year.

During the January to March quarter, the company has managed to secure orders worth $2.1 billion. At the same time, during the entire 2022-23 financial year, the company has secured orders worth $ 9.8 billion. Infosys CEO Salil Parikh said that our strong performance in FY 2022-23 is a testimony to our continued focus on digital, cloud and automation capabilities. He said that, we have started exciting programs with our customers to take advantage of the Generative AI platform.

There has been a decrease of 20.9 percent in the number of employees leaving the company in the fourth quarter. While the entry rate in the third quarter was 24.3 percent. As on 31 March 2023, the total number of employees of Infosys is 3,43,234. The number of employees has decreased by 3611 as compared to the previous quarter. Infosys’ results came after the market closed, before which the stock closed at Rs 1389, down 2.74 per cent.
