Pakistan High Inflation: India’s neighboring country Pakistan is facing a serious economic crisis these days. Inflation in Pakistan has increased so much that it is becoming difficult for the people to live. People are not having money left even to buy essential things used on a daily basis. They are spending more than what they earn. In such a situation, the people of Pakistan are facing starvation. No one is going to listen to the pain of the people of the country.

derailed economy

Pakistan’s economy has now derailed, at the moment no signs are visible of its return. In Pakistan, from flour, ghee, vegetables to milk, meat, eggs and petrol-diesel are going beyond the limits of buying for the common man. The prices of all these essential things are sky high. Inflation in Pakistan has broken many previous records, and it is at the highest level in the last 58 years. Inflation in Pakistan has crossed 40 percent.

people living on less food

According to the news media Mint, the public is no longer able to meet the most basic needs like food and education. To cope with this situation, people claim that they are ‘eating less’ and ‘travelling less’ for day to day survival. Rukhsana Bibi, who works as a domestic help in Pakistan, says that she earns Rs 3 to 4,000 a month from every household. He said, what we earn in a month is being spent twice. Because of this we are eating less, traveling less. Wheat flour is also difficult to get in Pakistan. Our children stand in line for days to get a sack of flour, and that too is expensive. Even the children come back disappointed.

Petrol-diesel prices in the sky

Fuel prices are skyrocketing in the country, with petrol being hiked by Rs 22.20 and diesel by Rs 17.20 per litre. According to the latest Dawn report, a man named Ali says that he is no longer traveling to his village to meet his family. He said that earlier we used to go from Nawabshah to Karachi for 700 to 800 rupees. But now, the bus drivers are demanding up to Rs.1500. He said, our life is becoming impossible. If we buy one thing, we cannot buy the other.

Will there be relief in future?

According to economists, the recent floods in Pakistan have completely destroyed a significant portion of the cultivable land. After this, inflation has increased in the country due to lack of food supply along with the tax increase announced by the Finance Minister. Economists expect increased revenues from increased taxes on cigarettes and general sales, along with increases in natural gas and fuel prices, to balance the budget.
