Indian stock market closed in green mark, Sensex managed to touch 67,000 mark

During the day’s trading, the BSE Sensex was successful in crossing the historical figure of 67,000 for the first time. However, selling took place in the market from the upper level. However, at the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex closed at 66,795 with a gain of 205 points and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 19,749 points with a jump of 38 points.

In today’s trading session, excellent buying was seen in the shares of IT, Energy, Oil and Gas sector. But there was a decline in the shares of banking, auto, pharma, media, real estate, metals, real estate sector. Small cap and mid cap stocks closed in red mark in today’s trade. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 15 closed with gains and 15 closed with losses. While 20 of the 50 stocks of the Nifty closed up and 30 closed down.

While SBI closed with a decline of 1.45 per cent, Bajaj Finance 1.29 per cent, Titan Company 1.28 per cent, Sun Pharma 1.08 per cent, Tata Steel 1.02 per cent, Tata Motors 0.99 per cent.

Fall in market cap

Despite the fast closing of the stock market, there has been a decline in the market cap of the stocks of the companies listed on BSE. At the end of trading today, the market cap of companies listed on BSE stood at Rs 303.11 lakh crore, while it was Rs 303.88 lakh crore in Monday’s trade. That is, there has been a decline of Rs 77,000 crore in the market cap in today’s trade.
