Indian stock market closed in green mark on first trading day of new financial year 2023-24

Stock Market Closing On 3rd April 2023: The first trading day of the new financial year 2023-24 has been a relief for the Indian stock market. Due to the buying of investors, especially in the banking-auto sector shares, the market has closed in the green mark. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex closed at 59,106 with a jump of 115 points and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 17,398 points with a jump of 38 points.

In today’s business, the shares of sectors like Banking, Auto, , Pharma, Infra, Consumer Durables closed with a boom. While IT, Oil & Gas, Healthcare, FMCG. Shares of metals and energy sector closed down. Today, there has been a good growth in the shares of midcap and smallcap sector in the market. Of the 50 Nifty stocks, 34 closed with gains and 16 with losses. Whereas, out of 30 Sensex stocks, 22 closed with gains and 8 closed with losses.

In today’s trading session, the share of Maruti Suzuki 2.50%, Bajaj Finance 1.74%, Bharti Airtel 1.56%, NTPC 1.40%, Bajaj Finserv 1.26%, Mahindra & Mahindra 1.18%, HCL Tech 1.12%, IndusInd Bank 1.03%, Titan Company 0.89% Tata Motors closed with a gain of 0.82 per cent. While ITC closed down by 1.17 per cent, Infosys by 1.17 per cent, HUL by 0.89 per cent.


Investors’ wealth increased

There has been a jump in the wealth of investors on the first trading day of the new financial year. The market capitalization of the company listed on BSE has reached Rs 259.63 lakh crore, which was Rs 258.19 lakh crore on Friday, March 31, 2023. That is, there has been a jump of Rs 1.44 lakh crore in the wealth of investors in today’s trading.
