India vs South Africa: The Indian team is getting ready for the Super 12 match of the T20 World Cup against South Africa on the fast pace and bouncy pitch of Perth on Sunday. Indian team’s batting coach Vikram Rathod believes that the current Indian batsmen are not afraid of fast pace.

The match is being termed as a contest between the Indian batsmen and the South African fast bowlers, but Rathod believes that pace is not an issue for the current Indian batsmen. I am not too worried about this. The pitch is looking good. Now let’s see how it behaves on match day.”

Interestingly, India had organized a brief preparation camp in Perth in early October and played two practice matches. Rathod says that the last time spent in Perth will benefit Team India in the match against South Africa.

Rathod further said, “We knew that the match against South Africa would be important. So we came to Perth early and also did some practice so that we can get used to the conditions. It will definitely benefit us.”

Rathod also praised Virat Kohli for adapting himself to the conditions, who played two scintillating innings of 82 not out and 62 not out against Pakistan and Netherlands respectively. The Indian batting coach said, “We know that he will continue to do so.”
