First Test In Kanpur Since 2021
As far as the Kanpur Test is concerned, one of India’s traditional Test venues happens to host its first Test at since 2021 which was when India took on New Zealand. Shreyas Iyer had scored a superb century on Test debut in that Test in the first innings before following it with a fifty in second to bag the Player of the match.

India, however, could not win that Test in November 2021 with the five-day fixture ending in a draw. It was an even longer wait the last time around with the Test match before that at that venue coming in 2016 against the same two opponents. On that occasion, however, India had manged to win the fixture.
With Ekana Stadium in Lucknow now coming up, most international matches that shifted to Lucknow with Kanpur getting fewer international matches.
