IND vs BAN Playing 11: India are set to lock horns with Bangladesh in the second T20I of the three-match T20 series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on October 9 (Wednesday). Playing their first T20I at home since their triumphant T20 World Cup 2024 campaign in the USA and the Caribbean, India registered a convincing 7-wicket defeat over Bangladesh at Gwalior in the series opener.

Bangladesh fell short with their game in all the departments of the game against India at Gwalior. Winning the toss, India captain Suryakumar Yadav opted to bowl first. India bowlers never let the Bangladesh batters settle in and eventually bowled them out for 127 runs on a pitch that was batting-friendly in nature.

Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy and debutant Mayank Yadav shone with the ball for the Men in Blue. Chasing 128 runs, India’s batting lineup made a mockery of the target and chased it down in just 11.5 overs.

As India aim to gain an unassailable lead in the T20I series, let’s have a look at the playing 11s for India and Bangladesh for the 2nd T20Is:

IND vs BAN 2nd T20I Probable Playing 11s

Head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Suryakumar Yadav are unlikely to alter the winning combination of the team unless forced by an injury concern. Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson is expected to open with Abhishek Sharma. If any, the only possible adjustment might be in the middle-order, with Tilak Varma, replacing Dube, potentially moving up to bat at number  4, taking Reddy’s place in the side.

Coming to Bangladesh, captain Najmul Hossain Shanto may opt for a few changes to the playing 11 for the 2nd IND vs BAN match. Promotion of all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz to open with Litton Das could be one move on the cards for Bangladesh. Another potential change is replacing Parvez Hossain Emon with all-rounder Mahedi Hasan, who could bolster the lower order while adding depth with both bat and ball.

India Probable Playing 11: Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Suryakumar Yadav (c), Nitish Reddy/Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag, Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar, Varun Chakravarthy, Arshdeep Singh, Mayank Yadav

Bangladesh Probable Playing: Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Litton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto (c), Towhid Hridoy, Mahmudullah Riyad, Jaker Ali, Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Mohammad Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman
