According to a Business Standard report, 70 to 72 percent of the workers in the factories of the American company Apple are women. At the same time, out of one lakh jobs, 70 percent of women aged 19 to 24 are involved. With this figure, Apple has become the largest single brand in terms of employing women in India. Out of this, most of the jobs have been given during 20 months. At the same time, the number of such women is more, who have come out of the house for the first time to work.
Most of the employees have done intermediate studies.
Most of the 1 lakh jobs have studied only intermediate, while some have taken diploma degree. At the same time, most of them got this job on assembling the iPhone. $5 billion iPhone exports from India
Apple has accelerated manufacturing in FY2023 and iPhone exports from India have reached $5 billion during a year. At the same time, India’s total smartphone exports have reached $10 billion. Apple started manufacturing iPhone in India in 2017. Since then, the company has brought out many new models and has sold it in India as well as exported it to foreign countries.
Apple’s first retail store opens in Mumbai
Tim Cook did the grand opening of Apple’s first official store in India. The number of employees working here is 100. It is spread over 20 thousand square feet. Its monthly rent is Rs 42 lakh.
