In this scheme, changes can be made in the existing structure of subsidy for new connections. It is being told that the Ministry of Petroleum has started work on 2 new structures and it will be released soon.

According to sources, the advance payment company will collect a lump sum of Rs 1600. Currently, OMCs charge the advance amount in the form of EMI, while according to experts who are aware of the matter, the government is giving the remaining 1600 subsidy in the scheme.

- First of all, under the Ujjwala scheme, a woman from a BPL family can apply to get a gas connection.
