Javed Miandad on Team India: The cricketing relations between India and Pakistan seem to have soured over the hosting of the Asia Cup 2023. Even in the recent Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting held in Bahrain, nothing special has been done on this. While Pakistan desperately wants to host the Asia Cup 2023, the BCCI says that it will not be able to send the Indian team to Pakistan in the current situation. Now the statement of Pakistani legend cricketer Javed Miandad has come to the fore on this stand of BCCI.
In an event, when Miandad was asked a question about the Indian team not coming to Pakistan, he said in a clear tone that if the Indian team is not coming to Pakistan, then go to hell, it does not matter to Pakistan. Miandad said, ‘I have been saying earlier also that if they (Indian team) are not coming then go to hell, we do not care. We are getting our cricket. This is the work of ICC. If this thing cannot be controlled by ICC, then there is no work of such a governing body.
Miyadand said, ‘ICC should have the same rules for all countries. If a strong team is not coming in a tournament, then you should throw it out. The Indian team will be for India, it is not the only team for us or for the world.
‘If Indian players go here after losing..’
Miyadand also gave a fabricated reason for the Indian team not coming to Pakistan during this period. He said, ‘Why doesn’t the Indian team play here because when they lose here, they get in trouble. Such is the public of India. It has always been his way, whenever he loses, he becomes a problem. For the same reason, he did not come here during our time also. Whenever India loses, whether it loses to us or to someone else, the public there sets houses on fire. We remember when we used to play, there were so many problems with their players.
