5G: Ever since the arrival of 5G in the country, people are curious as to when they will have access to 5G. However, even before 5G penetration, about 32% of mobile service customers do not have coverage for most of their day, despite paying for 4G/5G services. 69 percent of the people involved in a survey are facing the problem of call connection and drops. This information is given in a report.
What do 26 percent mobile users say
According to the Local Circles survey, only 26 per cent mobile service customers said they have good voice coverage for all existing operators at their home, while 5 per cent said they have good voice coverage for all three operators at their workplace. Around 20 per cent customers face connectivity issues for more than 50 per cent voice calls.
TRAI had a meeting on February 17
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) called a meeting with mobile phone operators on 17 February to discuss the quality of wireline and wireless services. The meeting discussed how to improve the quality of 5G services.
The figures are shocking
LocalCircles shared the findings of its survey on 5G services with TRAI, in which only 16% of mobile customers (who switched to 5G) have indicated an improvement in call connection and drop issues. TRAI said that 5G infrastructure will take time and will be 15-20 times by the end of 2023. However, the service quality of 4G was a concern which it is working with operators to address.
