Arshdeep Singh T20 World Cup 2022: Left arm fast bowler is an important bowler for any team. South Africa’s fast Lungi Ngidi said that Marco Jensen is a great bowler for the team and can create trouble for the batsmen of the other team.
Ngidi said ahead of the T20 World Cup Super 12 match against Bangladesh at the SCG on Thursday that his team had faced India’s left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh during the recently concluded white-ball series. In India, the Proteas were given the confidence to go with a left-arm pacer and their team is ready to take on an opponent’s left-arm pacer like Mustafizur Rahman of Bangladesh.
Asked about the benefits of having a left-arm fast bowler like Jensen, Ngidi said, “I think obviously Arshdeep Singh can learn a lot from the way he bowled against us in India. I think we are fortunate to have a left-arm fast bowler (Jenson) too, so it helps us prepare in terms of going forward.”
He added, “We know Mustafizur (Rahman) is a left-arm seamer in Bangladesh and I think the skills that Marco Jensen has is going to be really good for us. You know that He provides an option in our bowling department. It’s a big bonus for us.”
Ngidi said that having Jenson in the team makes the captain’s job easier as it gives the team more pace options.
