Gujarat Giants achieved the first win of the season by defeating Puneri Paltan, Fazal Atrachali’s return was ineffective

Gujarat Giants vs Puneri Paltan: In the 18th match of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2022, Gujarat Giants defeated Puneri Paltan by a huge margin of 47-37. This is Gujarat’s first win in three matches, while Puneri has got the second defeat in three matches. The return of Fazal Atrachali and Mohammad Nabibakhsh did not prove to be good for Puneri and the team had to face a big defeat.

The start of the match was very slow and both the teams initially worked from bonus points. Gradually Gujarat gained momentum and In the 14th minute, Paltan was all out and took a 16-11 lead. Despite being all out, Puneri did not allow Gujarat to take much lead and by half time, Gujarat was ahead 19-17. HS Rakesh took six raid points for Gujarat in the first half. For Paltan, Aslam Inamdar did not let Gujarat go ahead with eight raid points. Mohit Goyat also scored four raid points in his name.

In the second half, Puneri had taken the lead and was looking to go ahead in the match. However, in the 10th minute, Gujarat all-out Puneri for the second time and again took a six-point lead. After this, the players of Gujarat did not look back and with only five minutes remaining, their lead was extended to more than 10 points. HS Rakesh scored the third Super 10 of the season and scored 15 points. Aslam Inamdar took maximum 18 raid points from Paltan.
