Tamarind pulp – 1/2 cup
Jaggery – 1 cup
Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
salt – as per taste
How to make chutney
- To make chutney, first take a bowl and fill it with water and put tamarind pulp in it. Mash the pulp well in water.
- Mix jaggery and water in another bowl, as soon as the jaggery starts melting, mash it well like anus and keep it aside.
- Heat the pan on medium flame. When the pan becomes hot, add tamarind pulp water to it.
- After some time the water will boil. As soon as the water starts boiling, add jaggery water too.
- Mix both these things well. When this mixture is cooked, add red chili powder, sugar and salt as per taste and mix it.
- After some time the chutney will start boiling. Cook the chutney till it comes to a boil.
- After this add half tea spoon fennel and cook the chutney for 1 to 2 minutes and turn off the gas.
- Your tamarind chutney is ready, you can enjoy it with snacks.
