GST Collection Data: The Finance Ministry on Saturday released the Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection figures for September 2022. The ministry has said that in September, there has been an increase of 26 percent to more than Rs 1.47 lakh crore. The GST collection in September 2022 has been Rs 1,47,686 crore. However, it has also increased compared to August. The GST collection in the month of August stood at Rs 1,43,612 crore.

The Finance Ministry has given this information on Twitter. According to the Finance Ministry, the gross GST revenue collected in the month of September 2022 has been Rs 1,47,686 crore.

GST revenue up 26%
The revenue for the month of September 2022 is 26 per cent more than the GST revenue in the same month last year. During the month, revenue from imports of goods was 39 per cent higher and revenue from domestic transactions (including import of services) was 22 per cent higher than revenue from these sources during the same month of the previous year. Let us tell you that out of the total GST revenue collected in the month of September, CGST is Rs 25,271 crore, SGST Rs 31,813 crore, IGST Rs 80,464 crore (including Rs 41,215 crore collected on import of goods) and Cess Rs 10,137 crore (including Rs 856 crore). .

Over Rs 1.4 lakh crore collection in 7 months
This is the 8th consecutive month and for the seventh consecutive month, the monthly GST revenue has been over Rs 1.4 lakh crore. The growth in GST revenue till September 2022 is 27% over the same period last year, which continues to show a very high jump. In the month of August 2022, 7.7 crore e-way bills were generated, which was marginally higher than 7.5 crore in July 2022.

Highest collection in April
It is to be known that in the month of August, the GST collection has been Rs 1,43,612 crore. In the same July, the GST collection was Rs 1,48,995 crore. Whereas in the month of June, the GST collection was Rs 1,44,616 crore. In the month of April, the GST collection was Rs 1,67,540 crore, which is the highest till date.
