GST Collection January 2023: Big news related to GST collection is coming out. The Central Government has achieved the second biggest increase in GST collection so far. The Union Ministry of Finance has released the GST data for the month of January (January 2023) on Tuesday. In this, GST revenue of more than Rs 1.55 lakh crore has been achieved for the 11th consecutive month. The government has earned revenue from gross GST collection of Rs 1,55,922 crore in January. Whereas last year in the month of December 2022, a GST collection of Rs 1,49,507 crore was recorded. This much CGST and SGST came
According to the Finance Ministry data, Rs 28,963 crore has been collected as CGST, Rs 36,730 crore from SGST and Rs 79,599 crore as IGST. In the amount of IGST, Rs 37,118 crore has been collected as tax on import of goods.

The Union Ministry of Finance has given information on its official Twitter account. The ministry said that the second highest gross GST collection in January 2023 has broken the previous record of second highest in October 2022. Gross GST revenue of ₹1,55,922 crore has been collected in the month of January 2023.

According to the statistics of the government, the government has collected 10630 crores as cess. In this, Rs 768 crore has been recovered as surcharge on import of goods. On the other hand, this is the second highest amount of GST collection in the last 1 year. Earlier in April 2022, GST collection of Rs 1.68 lakh crore was done.
