EX MD of Twitter Parminder Singh: In this era of internet, nowadays we get to see all kinds of reactions, good and bad. Recently Parminder Singh (Twitter EX MD Parminder Singh), who was the MD of a giant company like Twitter, shared a very interesting anecdote with the people on social media. In today’s time, instead of paying through cash, people prefer to make online payment. They use credit, debit cards or UPI for everything from restaurant bill payments to cabs. Many times passengers forget to give money to the cab driver while making online payment. Something similar happened with Parminder Singh, former MD of Google and Twitter.
Parminder Singh recently shared an anecdote on his official Twitter handle which has won the hearts of social media users. According to the report published in Money Control, Parminder Singh had come to India last week. Had to catch a flight to go somewhere from the same Delhi airport. During this he was in a hurry and forgot to pay the cab driver.
forgot to pay the driver
Giving information on this matter, Parminder Singh told that a very good cab driver dropped me at Delhi airport. We got out of the cab and in our haste forgot to pay him. Then suddenly I remembered that I had not given him the money, so I asked him how to pay. He immediately replied that later you give the money. He knew that we might never meet again. He didn’t even tell us how much money we would have to pay. I later sent the money to his number. That driver has taught all of us a lesson in decency.
The soft spoken cab driver dropped us at Delhi airport. We walked off without paying. Desperately called to ask how to pay & he replied, ‘Koi baat nahi, phir kabhi aa jayenge’. Won’t even tell the amount. He knew we don’t live here. We eventually paid him & learned decency exists.
