Share videos like this during a meeting on Google Meet
You must have an Android device to use this feature of Google Meet. Also, you must have an account on YouTube and Google Meet. Also, you need to have a premium membership to start a live sharing session on YouTube. To watch YouTube videos in Google Meet, follow the steps given below.
- After joining a meeting on Google Meet, tap on the screen to reveal the call controls.
- Now tap on the three dot menu coming at the bottom.
- After that select Activities.
- Go to the menu and tap on the YouTube button under the Activities section.
- Now search for the video you want to share.
- Note: Some YouTube videos like children’s content and any paid content do not play during live sharing.
- After this, click on the video you want to watch.
- Then tap on the Start button in the pop-up menu.
- After the start of live sharing, a green bar will appear at the bottom of the screen, in which You Are Live Sharing In Meet will be written.
After this the video will start. Once the video starts, all meeting members on Google Meet will be able to play or pause the video at any time. Keep in mind that you can ignore notifications or in-meeting messages while watching videos in the YouTube app. In such a situation, it is advised to keep checking the Meet app from time to time for any missed notifications.
