Toll Plaza: In the Rajya Sabha on Friday, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari (Nitin Gadkari) has answered the question on the timing of the toll plaza. He said that the average time taken at the toll plazas of the country has come down. This waiting time was an average of 734 seconds, which has now come down to just 47 seconds. More toll collection after FASTag installation
Significantly, BJP MLA Shankar Lalwani had questioned the Transport Minister about the time taken at the toll plaza. Along with this, he had also asked what the government was doing on the long traffic jam at the toll plaza. Is any new system being developed for this? Giving a written answer to this question in the Rajya Sabha, Nitin Gadkari has said that after the installation of FASTag on the National Highway, there has been an increase in the collection of toll plazas. However, sometimes due to some technical problems, there is a long queue at the toll plaza.
Decrease in average time
Along with this, the Transport Minister has told that after the installation of FASTag in the toll plaza, there has been a decrease in the average time taken in the toll plaza. The survey conducted by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has revealed that earlier it usually took 734 seconds for vehicles, which has now come down to only 47 seconds. Along with this, he has also told that soon gate-free plazas based on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) will be made in the country. Due to this people will not have to stay at the plaza for some time. The government has appointed a consultant to work on this.
