Now before the festival of Holi (Holi 2023), there is another good news for the ration card holders. All ration card holders will start getting free ration before Holi. This information has been given in the letter issued by the government. This time, along with wheat and rice, the public will also get millet for free. Sugar will be distributed to Antyodaya card holders. Know from when till when you will get free ration.

Delivery will start from 5th March

Free distribution of ration (wheat-rice-millet) under NFSA in Uttar Pradesh is going to start from March 5, 2023. This distribution will run till 20 March 2023. That is, if you have a ration card, then you can get your ration from 5 to 20 March by visiting the government ration shop of any district in Uttar Pradesh. Wheat-rice has been distributed in the previous month as well.

Distribution of free ration (wheat-rice-millet) at government ration shops in Uttar Pradesh will be started from March 5. Under this, free ration of 5 kg (2 kg wheat, 2 kg rice and 1 kg millet) per unit will be distributed to eligible household card holders and 35 kg (14 kg wheat, 20 kg rice and 1 kg millet) to Antyodaya card holders.

Will get sugar by paying

Antyodaya card holders will also be given 3 kg sugar for the first three months (January-February and March) of this year. For this, the card holder will be distributed at the rate of Rs. 18 per kg and at the rate of Rs. 54 for 3 kg. The card holder will have to pay Rs 54 separately. In March, card holders are being given ration (wheat-rice-millet) for this month. Means now the distribution will be done only once in a month.

Free ration will be available till December

The poor people of Uttar Pradesh got the benefit of free ration twice in January and February. This has happened due to delayed lifting. Ration was not delivered to the ration shops in the state on time. That’s why it was distributed late. It may be known that under NFSA, till December 2023, free ration is being distributed to all card holders across the country.
