Chandrayaan-3 Launch: Today is a very important day for India’s space mission. Only a few hours are left for the launch of Chandrayaan-3, the country’s third moon mission. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will launch Chandrayaan-3 from Sriharikota on Friday, 14 July, under its Moon mission. Through this mission, ISRO is trying to make a soft and safe landing of the lander on the surface of the Moon. If everything goes according to the scientists, this lander will walk on the surface of the moon and give important information related to the moon.
Godrej Aerospace has an important role in the mission
If this mission is completed, then India will become the fourth country to achieve this success on the surface of the Moon. Many companies have contributed significantly to fulfill this dream of India. The first name in this is Godrej Aerospace. This Mumbai-based company has provided many critical parts for this mission. The rocket engine and thruster of Chandrayaan-3 have been manufactured by Godrej Aerospace.
Talking to PTI, AVP and Business Head of Godrej Aerospace, Maneck Behramkandin said, ‘We are very proud to inform that we have played a very important role in Chandrayaan-3. He further said that we have been a reliable partner of ISRO and will continue to play an important role in the future in the field of launches, missions and aerospace. It is worth noting that the company also played an important role in Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2 missions.
Larsen and Toubro is also associated with this space program
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has also played an important role in developing many parts in Chandrayaan-3. Issuing a statement on this matter, the company has said that it has contributed to the making of LVM-3M-4. According to PTI news, the company has told in its regulatory filing that Chandrayaan-3’s medium and nodal bucket flares have been made at the company’s manufacturing plant in Powai, Maharashtra. Apart from this, some parts of Chandrayaan-3 have also been manufactured in Coimbatore.
L&T Defense and Executive Vice President and Head Arun Ramchandani has said that we have always been associated with ISRO in many space programs and will continue to play an important role in the future as well. Along with this, he said that we had supplied all the parts of Chandrayaan-3 at the right time. It is worth noting that the company has been associated with many machines like Chandrayaan-1, Chandrayaan-2, Gaganyaan and Mangalyaan in many other space programs of India.
Countdown begins for the launch of Chandrayaan-3
Significantly, the time for the launch of Chandrayaan-3 is near. This space mission will start from 2 pm. Chandrayaan-3 comprises a lander and rover configuration. It will be taken to the Moon orbit of 100 km. The main objective of this mission is to make a safe soft landing on the Moon for Vikram Lander of the mission. If India is successful in doing this, then after America, Russia and China, India will become the fourth country to soft land the lander on the lunar surface. Earlier in September 2019, India had tried to do this through Chandrayaan-2, but failed to do so. Chandrayaan-2 had crashed on the surface of the Moon.
