You must have heard in proverbs that there is no age to start something. You can start anytime, because it is never too late. Along with this, it is also told that there is no time limit for success. You may not get quick success, but don’t be discouraged by it. Some people get success quickly, while some people take time to become successful.

Today we are going to tell you such a story, in which both these sayings are being fulfilled. This is the story of Anil Agarwal, a veteran industrialist in the mining and metal sector. Anil Agarwal himself has shared his story, in which he tells that there is no timeline to be successful.

get away from this fear

Vedanta Chairman asks the first question, is there a timeline to be successful? Then they themselves tell – not at all. He further writes, I think that there is a lot of pressure on today’s youth from our society that they should set the initial flag in their career as soon as possible. I talked to many such youths who are just afraid of missing the train of success! Will he be able to prove himself successful before he turns thirty!

failed multiple times

Agarwal says that he has faced failures many times in his life. He says, I have seen many failures in life – not once, not twice, but 9 times – I can understand it. How many times I faced disappointment, saw my ideas being rejected which were the best thought in my eyes. From staying up all night in factories that were on the verge of closure to wondering whether there would be anything left the next day or not… I struggled a lot in my 20’s and 30’s.

Then came the forties. Now I had a lot of experience and there was less hair left on my head. At the time when everyone thought I had given up, at the age of forty I tasted success for the first time. The ideas which were once dismissed, are now being praised.

Still many pictures left

According to Aggarwal, the essence is to have faith in your own thinking, even when others are laughing at that thinking. Consider defeat as a stepping stone to victory. Remember the story of the hare and the tortoise? Even if you go slowly, you can win the race if you keep going consistently. If you are trying before you turn thirty, just remember, the picture is still a long way off guys…
