A major part of India’s energy needs is met by imports.

Talking at the Global Conference of Compressed Biogas, Hardeep Singh Puri said that the government has plans to set up 5000 commercial compressed biogas plants by the year 2024-25. What is compressed biogas

Compressed Bio Gas and CBG is a biological fuel and it is similar to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as both of them are compressed methane. Although compressed bio gas is made from agricultural waste i.e. agricultural waste. Clearly, with the increase in the number of CBG plants, the country’s dependence on natural gas will reduce.
