According to media reports, a study was done on women and cervical cancer in Kenya. The study revealed that even 18 months after the first dose of the vaccine, the bivalent vaccine was found to be 97.5 percent effective against two strains of HPV. Research revealed that nonbivalent vaccines were up to 7% effective against HPV. 

Single dose also effective

A study was published in the journal NEJM. It was revealed in the study that even a single dose of HPV vaccine is very effective. It can save from its strain to a great extent. Researchers say that even if a large number of women are given a single dose, it is also effective.

Only 15 percent of women are getting vaccinated

HPV vaccination data are also very bad. According to the report, only 15% of women have been able to get HPV vaccine. The WHO aims to vaccinate 90% of girls under the age of 15 with the HPV vaccine by 2030. This will help in the prevention of cancer.
