Keep 6000 crores in the budget
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai says that his government is preparing to implement the 7th Pay Commission in the state, for which Rs 6,000 crore has been earmarked in the budget. That is, it can be implemented from the new financial year. However, this is a setback for those who were expecting it to be implemented from January 1, 2023.
The rule may come into effect from the new financial year.
CM Bommai has presented the state budget for the new financial year 2023-24. He said that the additional amount would be provided in the supplementary budget. According to the 7th Pay Commission, the report of change in the salary of the employees will be presented by the committee headed by former Chief Secretary Sudhakar Rao. The CM said that the report of the 7th Pay Commission will be implemented from the new financial year itself.
dearness allowance will increase soon from the center
On the other hand, government employees can also get relief from the Modi government of the Center. An announcement is going to be made soon on increasing the Dearness Allowance of these employees. The government is considering a 4 per cent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR). If this happens, the DA and DR for employees and pensioners will go from 38 per cent to 42 per cent. It is expected that this dearness allowance, which will be applicable from January 1, 2023, can also be announced before Holi.
