Indian Equity Market: This year has not proved to be good for the Indian Equity Market so far. First of all, the Hindenburg Report in January affected the market, due to which Adani Group Stocks fell heavily. Now the Fed Reserve’s gesture has further damaged the market. Due to this, the share of the Indian Equity Market in the Global Mcap has decreased rapidly.

Now this is the share in Global MCap

According to a recent assessment by Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited, the value of the Indian market during the month of February was equal to 3 per cent of the global market cap. This may be better than the historical average of 2.5 per cent, but at the same time it is the lowest share of the Indian market in the total value of global markets since April 2022. This means that compared to the Global Mcap, the value of the Indian market is the lowest in about 01 year.

Britain went ahead last month

Last month itself, the Indian stock market slipped behind Britain in terms of value. On the one hand, the value of the Indian stock market has decreased. On the other hand, due to the weakness in the pound, the big exporters of London have got help, due to which the condition of the British Equity Market has improved. Due to these, the UK Share Market overtook the Indian Equity Market in February and became the sixth largest market in the world. It was told in a Bloomberg Report that Britain has left India behind after nine months in terms of equity market.

The value of the Indian market has decreased so much

According to the assessment of Motilal Oswal, during the last one year, the Indian market has performed better than the markets around the world. While the market capitalization of global markets declined by 10.5 per cent during the last 12 months, the value of the Indian market declined by only 6.4 per cent during this period. However, this year a different picture is visible. In the first January, the Indian market fell by about 2.5 percent. After this, there was a decline of 2 percent in February as well. In March also the market is more or less in loss. In this way, in 2023 till now the value of the Indian market has decreased by about 05 percent.
