West Zone vs South Zone Final: West Zone has become the champion in the domestic tournament Duleep Trophy. In the final match, West Zone defeated South Zone by 294 runs. West Zone was lagging behind in the first two days of this five-day match, but in the last three days, this team made a strong performance and won the trophy. Yashasvi Jaiswal was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’. His double century had changed the course of this match.

The start of the final match for West Zone was very poor. This team with legends like Ajinkya Rahane and Shreyas Iyer was all out for just 270 runs in the first innings. In response, South Zone, adorned with senior players like Mayank Agarwal and Hanuma Vihari, scored 327 runs in the first innings. In this way West Zone was trailing by 57 runs on the basis of first innings.

South Zone got off to a brisk start aiming to chase down the mammoth target of 529 runs but the wickets kept falling. Apart from openers Rohan Kunnumal (93) and Ravi Teja (53), none of the batsmen could stand on the wicket. The entire team was all out for just 234 runs. In the second innings, Shams Mulani took 4 and Jaydev Unadkat took 2 wickets.
