Rice Export Ban Update: The Government of India has banned the export of non-basmati rice. This order has come into force with immediate effect. The government has issued an order in this regard. The central government has decided to impose this ban due to the fear of decline in production in view of the damage caused to the kharif crop, especially paddy, due to delayed monsoon rains.
