DU issues ‘Anti Ragging Guidelines’ to stop ragging in the new season

DU Anti-Ragging Guidelines 2022: Delhi University has issued anti-ragging guidelines to prevent incidents of ragging against undergraduate classes starting from November 2. The university has asked all colleges to strictly implement the rules as well as the provisions of Ordinances XV-B and XV-C and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013.

Delhi University in its guidelines has asked students, parents and guardians to follow the Supreme Court’s (SC) decision on ragging at the time of admission process. DU said in an official notification, “All colleges/faculties/departments/hostels have been requested to constitute Anti-ragging/Disciplinary Committee wherever possible to monitor ragging. The University has two Combined, North and South campuses. Control room will be created. Candidates can contact control room on 27667221 for North Campus and 24119832 for South Campus from November 2 to November 11, 2022.”

According to DU, special police pickets will be set up outside every college, especially women’s colleges, and patrolling will be done on the campus to prevent any untoward incident. Delhi Police has assured that women police in plain clothes will be deployed outside the campus of each college as well as the university.
