Bacteria can enter the skin
According to the Mirror’s report, Fatma Gunduz, Aesthetic Therapist of Skin and Sanctuary, told that wiping the face with towels can have a bad effect on the skin. This is because dangerous bacteria like E.coli (Escherichia coli) are found in towels. When you wipe your face with a towel, E.coli bacteria can enter your skin through it.
Do not use rough towels
Not only this bacteria, the rough texture of towels also works to harm the skin. Because while wiping the face, you rub the skin with a towel. This can result in small cracks on the skin and any long term damage. You should also not use towels because it can remove the natural oil present on your skin, which can make the skin dry and lifeless. Always use a soft towel or cloth to wipe the face and pat dry instead of rubbing.
