On the other hand, if we talk about the Mahabharata period, the art of Malla war has been depicted by warriors like Shri Krishna, Balaram, Bhima and Jarasandha. The book written at the time of King Someshwar III (AD 1124 – 1138) of the Chalukya dynasty is called ‘Manasolasa’ which is based on martial arts. In this, in the chapter named ‘Malla Vinod’, it is mentioned that what should be the exercise and food style of a person learning the art of Malla war. Along with the maneuvers of this martial art, the policies of the tough war style have also been explained.

Whereas in Gujarat in the thirteenth century based on the Malla war the book was written by ,jyesthimalla, is called. It was written by a Brahmin from Gujarat. Brahmins themselves were expert in this art and they used to give training to Kshatriyas, kings and soldiers.
