Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is ready to recruit 400 Technician employees. At present, a total of 700 technicians are working in this department. Regarding this recruitment, DGCA chief Arun Kumar told that the regulatory security inspection will do these recruitments to strengthen the capabilities. Actually, Arun Kumar is retiring on 28 February 2023 after serving on this post for almost four years.
Regarding his tenure, he said that it was full of ups and downs. Along with this, he told how many concrete steps were taken during his tenure to improve aviation security. However, regarding SpiceJet, he said that in the case of SpiceJet, DGCA had to face many other difficulties including engine and safety.
How many employees are there in DGCA
Talking about technicians, a total of 700 technicians are working in DGCA at present. Whereas, after the recruitment of 400 more technicians, this figure will go up to 1100. Talking about the entire staff, a total of 1300 personnel are currently working in DGCA. Along with increasing the employees, the number of offices will also be increased. This number will be increased from 14 to 19.
What is the condition of DGCA in the ranking
Let us tell you that DGCA chief Arun Kumar told that India has achieved a quantum jump from 112th position to 55th position in the aviation security monitoring ranking. Talking to Bhasha, he said, DGCA has checked more than 4000 points and night surveillance in its annual surveillance programme. Let us tell you that recently Air India had announced vacancies for the posts of 5100 pilots and cabin crew. In these recruitments, more than 900 pilots and around 4,200 cabin crew trainees will get jobs. The most heartening thing is that Air India will complete this recruitment by the end of this year.
