DGCA issues show cause notice to GoFirst for canceling flights, air passengers fume

Go First Fliers Fumes: The regulator of the civil aviation sector, DGCA, has issued a show cause notice regarding the decision of GoFirst Airways, which is facing financial crisis, to cancel flights for two days on May 3 and 4. DGCA said that the airlines have taken this decision without any information. DGCA said that GoFirst has failed to follow the fixed schedule due to which the passengers will have to face a lot of trouble. This is against compliance with the approval of the schedule.

While issuing a show cause notice, the DGCA has asked why action should not be taken against him for this contempt. GoFirst has to file its reply within 24 hours. The regulator has also asked to give information about the steps taken to reduce the problems faced by the passengers who have booked tickets for air travel. From May 5, the details of the flight schedule will also have to be given to the airlines.

Huge resentment is being seen among the passengers who had booked tickets for travel with GoFirst on 3rd and 4th May. On social media, these passengers are furious over the airlines’ decision to cancel the flight. Gaurav Wadhawan writes that he had a connecting flight after which he had to catch the train. What should I do now? He asked if I would get a refund?

While apologizing to the passengers, the airlines said in response that these flights have been canceled due to reasons beyond their control. There are many air travelers who are expressing their displeasure after GoFirst’s decision to cancel flights. Let us tell you that after canceling flights on May 3 and 4, Wadia Group’s airlines GoFirst has filed an application for Voluntary Insolvency Resolution before the National Company Law Tribunal to declare itself bankrupt.
