Delhi University’s first semester will start from November

Delhi University admissions 2022: Delhi University (DU) will start academic classes on November 2 for first-year students of the 2022-23 academic year, but the incoming students will be given only a four-day break between the first and second semesters. As per the schedule of the Central University, the first semester will start in November 2022 and will end in March 2023. After this the second semester will be conducted from March to July.

At the same time, the first seat allotment list of DU will be released on October 18, the second on October 30 and the third list on November 10. Hence, the academic session will start before the release of the third list of seat allotment. According to the academic calendar, the theory examination of the first semester will be held from February 27 to March 15 and the theory examination of the second semester will be held from July 17 to July 28. Apart from this, the mid-entry window will open from November 5 to 7 during the third round of Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS).

This is the first time that Delhi University is giving admission on the basis of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores instead of Class 12 board exam results. The university had launched a new central admission portal called Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS). Its objective is to give easy admission to the candidates through the new entrance exam scores. This year, admissions are taking place for 79 UG programs in 67 colleges, departments and centres.
