Aadhar-Ration Card Linking: The central government has extended the deadline for linking Aadhaar with ration card till 30 September 2023. Earlier this deadline was till 30 June 2023. The Department of Food and Public Distribution has issued a gazette notification regarding this order. The government is insisting on linking Aadhaar with ration card for the purpose of banning having more than one ration card.
