IND vs AUS 2nd Test: Australia has suffered a major setback in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Team opener David Warner has been ruled out of the second Test being played in Delhi. After being injured by Mohammad Siraj’s back to back bouncer balls, he is no longer fit to play on the field in this Test. In his place, Matt Renshaw has been included in the team as a Concussion Substitute.

On the first day of the Delhi Test, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Here in the beginning, David Warner had to eat some bouncy balls of Mohammad Siraj on the body. While a ball from Siraj injured Warner’s hand, the other ball hit his helmet. However, despite this, Warner remained on the pitch. But as soon as he got out, a medical check-up was done immediately and then after a concussion test, it was decided to drop him out of the Delhi Test.

Matt Renshaw in place of Warner
David Warner was dismissed after scoring 15 runs off 44 balls in the first innings of this Test. There was a 50-run partnership between him and Usman Khawaja for the first wicket. Australia’s team was all out for 263 runs on the very first day of this match. Now in the second innings, instead of Warner, Matt Renshaw will be seen playing for the Australian team. Matt Renshaw was a complete flop in the Nagpur Test. He was able to score a total of 2 runs in both the innings of that test. In such a situation, he was dropped from the playing-11 in the Delhi Test.

Australia’s growing troubles
The Australian team, which had suffered a one-sided defeat in the Nagpur Test, could score only 263 runs in its first innings in the Delhi Test as well. Australia’s strong batting order could not face the Indian bowlers. In such a situation, now Warner’s exit can prove to increase Australia’s troubles. It is possible that Warner may not even play the next two Test matches.
