Dasun Shanaka made his IPL debut, know how his T20 record was so far

GT vs SRH, Indian Premier League 2023: Sri Lankan Limited Overs team captain Dasun Shanaka has been included in the playing 11 in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) from Gujarat Titans (GT) team. Gujarat has included Shanaka in the team in place of all-rounder Vijay Shankar. Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya told at the time of the toss that Shankar has been ruled out of the match due to injury while practicing in the nets.

Dasun Shanaka was included by Gujarat Titans this season as a replacement for Kane Williamson. Williamson was injured while fielding while playing in the first match of the season. During the auction for this season, Dasun Shanaka was not made his part by any team.

Shanaka has so far played 88 T20 matches for Sri Lanka at the international level and has scored 1351 runs with the bat at an average of 20.78, including 5 half-century innings. Shanaka has also taken 25 wickets in bowling at an average of 21.52. So far Shanaka has played a total of 183 matches in his T20 career. During this, he has scored 3724 runs at an average of 27.79 while taking 59 wickets at an average of 27.30 with the ball.

This season of the defending champions Gujarat Titans has also seen a great performance so far.
