According to the data given in the Rajya Sabha, there has been a significant increase in the number of students going abroad after the pandemic. If you look at the record of the last 6 years, the maximum number of students went to study abroad in the year 2022, their number was 7.5 lakh.
In the last years such a large number
Talking about the previous years, in the year 2017 this number was 4.5 lakhs, which increased to 5.2 lakhs in the year 2018. Similarly, in the year 2019, there was a further increase in the number of students going abroad and according to government data, 5.86 lakh students turned to foreign soil this year. But due to the epidemic in the year 2020, this number decreased to 2.6 lakhs.
These countries are preferred the most
In the matter of studying abroad, UK ie Britain is most preferred. Here in the year 2022, 1.4 lakh visas were given to Indians. Compared to the year 2019, this number was much higher. In the year 2019, 34261 visas were given. In the year 2019, in the month of September, the UK launched a visa named ‘Graduate Route’. With its help, international students, including students from India, were given the freedom to stay in the UK for work or to find work. Through this, students could stay in the UK for two years after completing their studies.
