Apart from this, an increase of Rs 79,000 crore has been increased under the PM Vikas Yojana and if it is seen on a percentage basis, it is an increase of 66 per cent.

Said this on health and green energy

If seen on the health front, 157 new nursing colleges have been set up and through these new jobs and health services are being provided to the general public. The Finance Minister said that in this budget, Rs 35,000 crore is being spent in the field of green energy and this will also help in the Green Hydrogen Mission.

Fertilizer subsidy increased continuously – Finance Minister

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that during the years 2015-16 to 2019-20, the fertilizer subsidy has been increased from Rs 65,000 crore to Rs 80,000 crore. It was increased to Rs 1.05 lakh crore in 2021-22. In this budget i.e. year 2023For 24, Rs 2.25 lakh crore has been brought up to fertilizer subsidy.

State governments are increasing tax on petrol and diesel

The Finance Minister said that questions are asked to the central government on petrol and diesel, but the state governments which are making profits and are not giving cheap fuel to the people – why there is no answer to that. In this episode he said that-

As soon as the Congress came to power in Himachal Pradesh, the VAT on diesel has been increased due to which the price of diesel has increased by Rs.3 per liter there.

In Kerala, the state government there has increased the social security cess by Rs 2 per liter on petrol and diesel in February 2023.

In Punjab, the tax on fuel has been increased by 95 paise per litre.
