IND vs AUS 2023:  The ODI series between India and Australia is over. Australia has won this series. After losing the first match in this three-match series, Australia made a great comeback. The visitors made a fine comeback to beat India by 10 wickets in the second ODI at Visakhapatnam, and then beat India in the third ODI at Chennai to take the series 2–1.

After this crushing defeat, Rohit Sharma said after the match that, " After this crushing defeat, Rohit Sharma said after the match that, I don’t think the runs were too many, but it was a bit difficult to bat here. We didn’t bat well. It is very important to have a partnership in such matches, but we could not do that. Whenever our partnership happened, only then wickets kept falling."

Rohit told the reason for the defeat

Rohit while talking to Murali Karthik in the match presentation said that, "You have been playing in such conditions since the beginning. After getting a good start, it was necessary for any one batsman to take the game to the end, but it did not happen. Although, we all have given our best to win this match and series, this defeat is not due to any one or two players. I don’t blame any one player and neither does the team. This is everyone’s loss. We have also got a lot of positives from this series, I don’t judge my team’s performance only on the basis of these three ODIs, we have got a lot of positives in the last 9 ODIs. We have got to learn a lot from this series. Credit should be given to Australia for this match. Both their spinners bowled well and then their seamers also created pressure."

In the third match in Chennai, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Australia had scored 269 runs losing all 10 wickets in 49 overs, in which none of their batsmen could even score a half-century. Mitchell Marsh scored the maximum 47 runs for Australia. Apart from them, Alex Carey got out for 38, Travis Head got out for 33.

If you look at Indian bowling, leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav has performed brilliantly. Kuldeep took 3 wickets for 56 runs in 10 overs, but one of his wickets was very special. Apart from Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya also bowled brilliantly in this match and took 3 wickets for 44 runs in 8 overs. Apart from these, Mohammad Siraj and Akshar Patel also got 2-2 wickets.
