Delhi LG Saxena and CM Kejriwal to Launch 400 E-buses
Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor, V.K. Saxena, and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal are set to jointly inaugurate a fleet of 400 electric buses on Tuesday, just ahead of the G20 Summit. Delhi’s Transport Minister, Kailash Gahlot, assessed the preparations for the event at the IP Depot on Monday.
“Before the G20 Summit, the @ArvindKejriwal government is set to gift 400 state-of-the-art e-buses to Delhiites tomorrow. Ahead of the launch of these new electric buses, I visited the IP Depot today and reviewed the preparations related to it. Tomorrow, 400 new e-buses will hit the roads of Delhi to serve the people of Delhi. Best wishes to all Delhiites in advance,” said Gahlot in a Hindi post on social media.
Amit Shah to Kickstart BJP’s ‘Jan Ashirwad’ Yatras from Sheopur and Gwalior
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ from Mandla and Sheopur districts in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. He is scheduled to address public rallies at both locations. A party spokesperson revealed that Shah will arrive in Mandla, situated in the state’s Mahakoshal region, at 12:20 pm. There, he will inaugurate a leg of the Jan Ashirwad Yatra and address a rally. Subsequently, at 4:40 pm, he will reach Gwalior, where he will also launch the mass outreach programme and address a gathering.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, along with several state ministers and party leaders, will participate in both events. Following these engagements, Shah will depart for Delhi in the evening. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will also inaugurate a leg of the Jan Ashirwad Yatra from Khandwa on Wednesday, according to the spokesperson. The state is gearing up for elections later this year, and the ruling BJP is conducting yatras from various locations within the state. These yatras will culminate with a workers’ conclave titled ‘Karyakarta Mahakumbh’ on September 25, marking the birth anniversary of stalwart Deendayal Upadhyaya, in Bhopal.
