Dabang Delhi vs Bengal Warriors: In the 41st match of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2022, Bengal Warriors defeated Dabang Delhi by a margin of 35-30. This is the second consecutive defeat for Delhi. This defeat can be a matter of concern for Delhi, which started the season winning five consecutive matches. Bengal got its first victory after two consecutive defeats. Bengal’s defenders gave a strong performance and got 18 tackle points in the match.
The matter was very close in the first half
The match started in a smoky manner in which Bengal captain Maninder Singh dismissed three defenders in the first raid itself. However, gradually the match slowed down and both the teams started playing cautiously. Maninder had to be out of the mat for almost six minutes which affected Bengal. Naveen Kumar was also unable to do anything special for Delhi. Bengal was leading 15-13 till half time.
Maninder had scored six raid points in the first half, while Delhi captain Naveen got four raid points. Bengal’s defense took eight while Delhi’s defense took five tackle points. For Bengal, Shubham Shinde got three while Girish Ernak got two tackle points.
Delhi lags behind in the second half
In the third minute of the second half, Ajinkya Kapre put out a super raid and dismissed three defenders and Delhi were all out in the very next raid. With this, Bengal had taken a five-point lead in the match. Bengal had a six-point lead till five minutes before the end of the match. Naveen had completed his seventh consecutive Super 10, but he was not getting good support from other raiders.
For Bengal, Vaibhav Garje took the maximum six tackle points, while Girish Ernak also hit a high five. Naveen took the maximum 10 points from Delhi’s side. Delhi’s defense proved to be a flop.
