IPL 2023 Playoffs BCCI Initiative: After the end of the league stage matches in the 16th season of IPL, now the playoff matches have started. In the first qualifier match of the season, 4-time winner Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated defending champions Gujarat Titans by 15 runs and entered the final directly. Lucknow and Mumbai are facing off in this season’s eliminator match. Taking a major initiative, the BCCI has decided to plant 500 trees on every dot ball during the IPL playoff matches.
This initiative of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is being praised everywhere. The total number of dot balls crossed the 100-mark during the eliminator match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Mumbai Indians (MI) being played in Chennai. After this, now BCCI will plant more than 50,000 trees.

Total 84 balls in the first qualifier match
A total of 84 balls were dot bowled in the first qualifier match played between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. After this the total number of trees to be planted reached 42,000. Ravindra Jadeja, the all-rounder of the CSK team, threw maximum 12 dot balls in this match. This initiative of BCCI was revealed during playoff matches when tree emoji was used to show dot ball during live streaming.
BCCI Secretary Jai Shah also informed about this initiative through his tweet. In this, he also mentioned in his tweet that who says that T20 is only a game of batsmen but it is also of bowlers. All these things are only in your hands.
