BCCI releases central contract list of women cricketers, three players in Grade A

The new contract list of women cricketers has been released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. BCCI has given a place to a total of 17 players in the new central contract list. However, apart from captain Harmanpreet, the BCCI has kept only two players in Grade A. Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma are the other two players who got a place in Grade A.

BCCI has divided the Central Contract List of women cricketers into three categories. Three players have been kept in Grade A category. The three players who have got a place in Grade A will get an amount of Rs 50 lakh annually from the BCCI. At the same time, 5 players have got place in B grade. The players of this category are given 30 lakh rupees annually by the BCCI. Maximum 10 players have got place in Grade C. The players included in this list are paid an annual fee of Rs 10 lakh. 

Grade A- Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma

Grade B- Renuka Thakur, Shefali Verma, Richa Ghosh, Rajshwari Gaikwad, Jemima Rodrigues

Grade C- Megna Singh, Devika Vaidya, Anjali Sarwani, Pooja Vastrakar, Sabhineni Meghna, Sneh Rana, Radha Yadav, Harleen Deol, Yesika Bhatia

The gap is huge

After this there are three more categories. Players present in Grade A category are paid an annual fee of Rs 5 crore. Players included in Grade B are paid an annual fee of three crore rupees by the BCCI. An annual amount of Rs 1 crore is provided by the BCCI to the players included in Grade C.
