Meanwhile, Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has informed that BSNL is also going to rollout 5G service soon. Upgrading it may take at least 5 to 7 months. Union Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav also informed on Thursday that 5G service will be started with lakhs of towers across the country.

In a program of CII, the minister said that new startups will be promoted by increasing the Telecom Technology Development Fund from Rs 500 crore to Rs 4,000 crore per year. According to the PTI report, Ashwini Vaishnav said that BSNL’s 4G technology will be rolled out in 5G on 1.35 lakh telecom towers in 5 to 7 months.

Government will increase technology development fund

BSNL has asked Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) about the equipment for 5G testing. The minister said that 5G services will be provided by BSNL in remote areas of India. This will solve the network related problems of the people. Vaishnav said that a budget of Rs 500 crore is being brought every year for the Technology Development Fund, but now a plan is being made to take it from 3 thousand to 4 thousand crores.
