Adani Group Stocks: As soon as the report of the Supreme Court committee formed to investigate Hindenburg’s allegations on the Adani group came to the fore, the shares of the Adani group have seen a strong boom. Stocks of Adani Group were trading with a decline in the morning. But as soon as the report came to the fore, vigorous buying returned in all the stocks of the group and all 10 stocks of the group closed sharply.
The biggest gain in today’s trade has been seen in the shares of Adani Wilmar. The stock of Adani Wilmar closed at Rs 404, up 10.38 per cent from the day’s low. The stock of Adani Total Gas had a circuit in the morning. But from the lower level, the stock has closed at Rs 688 with a gain of 8.68 per cent. Adani Transmission rose by 4.76 per cent to Rs 787, Adani Power by 4.91 per cent to Rs 236, Adani Green by 4.23 per cent to Rs 897, Adani Enterprises to Rs 1956 by 3.49 per cent and Adani Ports to Rs 3.48 per cent. With has closed at Rs.688.
Group’s cement company ACC closed at Rs 1956 with a gain of 0.97 per cent, Ambuja Cement with a gain of 1.03 per cent at Rs 403 and NDTV with a gain of 3.73 per cent at Rs 178.
The committee constituted by the Supreme Court said in its report that it has not been able to reach the conclusion that the stock market regulator SEBI has failed to play its role in monitoring the manipulations in the shares of Adani group companies. The committee said in its report that SEBI has found that some companies or individuals had taken short positions (had sold shares) in Adani Group stocks before the Hindenburg Research report was made public. The committee said in the report that SEBI’s investigation is going on on all these issues, so the committee is not giving any opinion on their merit at present.
