If you also think that education is done from NCERT books in Pakistan, then the answer is no. NCERT books are not taught in Pakistan like in India. NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) is an Indian autonomous organization. NCERT books are specially prepared for schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
On the other hand, if we talk about Pakistan, then the education system there is divided according to its characteristics. Apart from this, books published by provincial textbook boards or private publishers are used. In Pakistan, a committee called the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) does most of the work of setting the syllabus and organizing the examinations. These books are prepared keeping in view the standards and requirements set by the educational authorities of Pakistan.
Books to be used at primary and secondary level
- Punjab Textbook Board: Books published by the Punjab Textbook Board are used for government schools in the province of Punjab.
- Sindh Textbook Board: Like the Punjab province, books are published by the Sindh Textbook Board for the government schools of the Sindh province, which are used in studies.
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board: Government schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province use books published by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board.
- Balochistan Textbook Board: In Balochistan province, like other provinces, books published by the Balochistan Textbook Board are used for government schools.
Similarly, there are many textbook boards in Pakistan which prepare books for different provinces. In India too, different boards do the work of publishing their books. But it is clear that NCERT books are not taught in Pakistan.
